Where to Buy Questions & Answers

Q Can I purchase your products through online marketplaces or from secondary market sellers?
A Products purchased through unauthorized channels, including online marketplaces, auctions,       brokers, or surplus resellers, are not eligible for technical support, software updates, security     services, or license activation. We strongly recommend purchasing through authorized sales       channels to ensure full eligibility and product integrity.

Q Are software licenses transferable upon reselling equipment?
A No. Software licenses, subscriptions, feature entitlements, and maintenance agreements
are generally licensed only to the originally registered end-user organization and are not
automatically transferable upon a change in hardware ownership.

Q Why do you restrict support for gray-market or secondhand equipment?
A Digital Alert Systems' products are widely deployed across broadcast, cable, critical
infrastructure, and emergency communications environments, where cybersecurity,                   operational reliability, and regulatory compliance are critical. Restricting support to validated       and registered systems helps maintain trusted operational environments and reduces risk to       customers and public safety infrastructure.

Q Does owning the hardware guarantee access to software updates or support?
A No. Ownership of physical hardware does not automatically include entitlements to software       and firmware updates, security subscriptions, technical support, or hosted services. These         services require active registration and applicable support or subscription agreements.

Q Can maintenance agreements or support contracts be transferred to a new owner?
A Maintenance agreements and support contracts are generally non-transferable unless
expressly approved in writing by our company as part of an authorized transfer or
   recertification.

Q Can a previously used system become eligible for support again?
A In some cases, yes. Certain products may qualify for an authorized transfer, inspection,
recertification, or relicensing. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis at the sole
discretion of Digital Alert Systems and may require validation, software normalization, and
   the execution of new agreements.
